Showering Oliver 1-24-09

we had our family and friends baby shower for baby oliver on january 24th.  my mom hosted it for us and jon’s sisters, mom, and our good family friend jenn helped to plan and bring yummy food for our enjoyment!  i had a great time with everyone and was relieved that abby had only planned one game for the event!  also, it was fun to get calls from heidi and rachel (my sisters) before and after the shower since they weren’t able to be there but were still very much a part of the day.  they also provided my diaper bag which was much needed and MUCH better than the one that i had registered for (basically just out of need).  so, i would say that jon and i are very blessed to have so much love and support coming from both families and many friends.  oliver already has so much love anticipating him and we couldn’t be more thankful for all the people that God has placed in our lives.  thanks to everyone for the support, love and gifts that you have already given us and we are excited for you all to meet oliver soon!

January belly update…

31 Weeks

31 Weeks

I know this is a little late but here is the most recent belly picture we’ve taken to date. Oliver has been growing by leaps and bounds lately. He seems to have changed positions and is no longer breach, but he’s very high up and Annie is constantly feeling claustrophobic. He has been very active and every now and then I can feel his leg or butt pressing up against the outside of Annie’s belly. Poor Annie hasn’t been feeling so great lately. She has been having a hard time sleeping and I haven’t been helping with my snoring.  I’ve been told that I’m a sneaky snorer. I lull Annie into a false sense of security and quiet – right as she is about to fall asleep I break into one of the loudest snores you can imagine.  Annie’s also been dealing with a cold right now – so if you think about it pray for her. Well, that’s all for now.  Thanks for thinking of us!
